In addition to the standard customer service, inventory management, manufacturing, retail and financial applications, advanced applications such as CRM, Warehouse Management, EDI and e-business provide companies with the power to leverage their information technology investment.

This dynamic suite of applications was designed and developed using the latest software development tools, enabling the system to take full advantage of advanced database capabilities of the IBM Power SystemsTM platform. Its modular design facilitates data transfer between applications, while standardized menus allow users to easily navigate the system across the different applications. Most importantly, the flexible design of S2K Enterprise allows companies to personalize the product to meet their specific requirements and simplifies custom modifications.

Menus for applications are standardized throughout all applications. This facilitates the overall training process, and provides the user with ease of navigation throughout the system. Data is gathered and organized into a series of system-defined tables along with the capability of creating user-defined tables; together these master files comprise the S2K Enterprise Database. Information contained in these tables can be added or updated, on-the-fly, during processing as needed. By establishing a variety of tables, with each containing its own commonly used information, validation is required only once, during data entry, which ensures data integrity and eliminates redundancy.

Real-time processing allows immediate access to data, while window and context-sensitive help text is available to assist the user during both data entry and retrieval. Help text provides information on the function and use of specific windows and fields. A Data Dictionary and program source code are provided to assist in the future development of in-house custom programs and queries.

In addition, options like *View and *Excel allow users to create PDF or Excel files for all reports. Alerts can be entered to specify tolerance levels and multiple users can be notified of the same event. Internal flags have been incorporated aiding in maintaining email frequencies. Maintaining a successful distribution operation relies on the timely communication between management and employees.

Through automatic conditional emails, these alerts can aide in achieving proper customer satisfaction, managing credit flows, effectively tracking inventory, and managing cost. The S2K Enterprise Job Scheduler provides users with the ability to process reports and other events at specified times and intervals throughout the course of their business cycles. Through the use of a Never Ending Program, the System Administrator can scheduled jobs to process daily, weekly or monthly at specified times and days. Entering various parameters enables jobs to be scheduled to run repeatedly during a day and prior or after the End-of-Day and Consolidated End-of-Month processing. Scheduled reports can be printed or emailed to specific users or groups.
